Abstract

Key words : Summative Test Item. In the teaching process unlimited to the teaching interaction between teacher and student. The teaching implementation completely includes evaluation as the way to get feedback from teaching process which is done. Therefore, the development, employing and implementation good test suitable with principles occur. There are many kinds of evaluation. In order to judge the effectiveness of any test, it is sensible to lay down a good test criteria, as follow: content validity, reliability, discrimination power and level of difficulty. The problem of this study are: (1) How is content validity of summative test used in MAN Trenggalek ? (2) How is reliability of the summative test used in MAN Trenggalek? (3) How is discrimination power of the summative test used in MAN Trenggalek? (4) How is the level of difficulty of the summative test used in MAN Trenggalek? The purposes of this study are: (1) to understand about the content validity of the summative test. (2) To understand about the reliability of the summative test. (3) To know about the discrimination power of the summative test. (4) To know about level of difficulty of the summative test. This research use descriptive research by using quantitative approach and it is intended to Analysis Summative Test Item the second year student of senior high school at MAN Trenggalek in The Academic Year 2009/2010. Here the writer takes 50 test items and 50 students from second year student as the sample of the research. The method of collecting data is test, documentation and observation. The analysis technique of quantitative data used Pearson Product Moment Correlation to look for reliability test : r = , after that using. r¬11 = , , Research findings : (1) Content validity of summative test items of the second year student of senior high school at MAN Trenggalek in the academic year 2009/2010 has percentage question as follows : Listening 0%, reading 58%, writing 20%, speaking 22%. It is know that the representation of some test items in the test is low. Based on the material in syllabus, there are some material, which are not in the items and the some material in the test items does not take from syllabus. The content validity in this test is far to be a valid test. (2) The reliability of summative test item of the second year student of senior high school at MAN Trenggalek (0.470), it means that the reliability is low. (3) The discrimination power in summative test at MAN Trenggalek in the academic year 2009/2010 has percentage questions as follow: 10% good, 8% satisfactory, 12% poor, 56% is very poor and 14% negative. (4) The level of difficulty in summative test at MAN Trenggalek in the academic year 2009/2010 has percentage questions as follow: 18% difficult, 30% fair and 52% easy items.
