Humankinds are created into this world in different conditions. Although humankinds are born in twin, the difference will still exist. One of the differences can be how they learn and how they think. Every human being is born then grows and evolves will have a difference in learning and thinking process. One of the examples in lecturing, students’ learning styles are different. Some students prefer the lecturers who teach by writing everything on the board as well as the time at school, others prefer lecturers who teach by delivering the materials orally and they listen to be able to understand it. In addition, there are also students who prefer to form small groups to discuss questions related to the materials. The subjects of this research were undergraduate students of Tadris Mathematics IAIN Tulungagung that have the level of tendency in learning styles of visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. Based on the tendency level of the learning styles, subjects were given a task to solve the problem of function. The results showed that generally students’ learning styles in solving mathematical problems, especially function problems using a combination of three learning styles, they are visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. Then, in certain stages, there are students who only use one or two combinations of learning styles.
