Abstract
This book is written to introduce phonology in teaching English as the one of the branches of linguistic and its relation to the other branches of linguistics. Phonology itself is used to learn and discuss how sounds are organized. In this book, you can find the study of the way sounds function in languages, which consist of phonemes, stress, accent, syllable structure, and which sounds are specific units within language. In addition, you can also find the relation between morphology and phonology which discuss suffix and how it is sounded. Finally, in the last of this book you can learn morphophonemic change which consist of loss and addition phonemes, consonant change, assimilation, dissimilation, and etc.
