Keywords: Students’ Perception, Internship Program, Teaching English in online learning The internship program is a program that provides insight and practical experience to educate students regarding real learning activities in class. One of the purposes of Internship Program is to train the students to be competent teachers. The objective of this study is to know about the perception of MTsN 2 Tulungagung students toward internship teachers’ competence in teaching English through online learning mode. The research problems in this study is “What is the perception of the students of MTsN 2 Tulungagung toward the internship teachers’ competence in teaching english through online learning mode?” The research design of this study was quantitative approach with a survey design. The population of this study is the students of MTsN 2 Tulungagung who have been taught by an internship teacher of IAIN Tulungagung. The total of the population was 320 students. In this research, the sample was 64 students from VII F and VII G class. The data were collected using a questionnaire. The data were analyzed using SPSS 26.0. The result showed that most of the students gave a positive perception toward internship teacher in teaching English during pandemic era. Based on the findings, the students have positive perceptions toward Internship teacher in facilitate the students in online learning process. Then, the students also have positive perceptions toward Internship teacher in giving advice for the students’ problem. Besides that, the students also have positive perceptions toward Internship teacher in assessing students in online learning. Then, internship teacher also applied the role of content facilitator well. In addition, the internship teacher applied the role of technologist well. They use technology which is easy to access and operate for the students. Moreover, through the internship program, internship teacher develop their ability and knowledge in teaching learning process. So, the Internship program gives internship teacher access to be a competent teachers in the future.
