Abstract

Abstract The podcast is an original recording of audio with the file format used on each same episode, so that people can enjoy the program in the same way. Originally designed for MAC and ipod products, the podcast began to be played by most indonesians. The accessibility system flexibility makes the podcast an effective medium to reach a large audience. The grand theory is used asa basis of the McQuail's stimulus theory analysis. The study discussed the high impact of interest in listening to the podcast close the door to changes in the z generation's positive mindset in east Java. Using a questionnaire's survey and research instrument with a podcast of close the door, the population taken from the east z generation of 10,086,160 with the selected sample were 199. The chi-square test in this study was used to see how high interest was in listening to the podcast of positive change of the z generation's positive mindset in east Java.
