Abstract
Yasinan is one of the religious activities in the form of reading the yasin letter, istighosah, and tahlil which is carried out gathered at home. In the current era, social changes in the yasinan tradition are starting to be seen caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. President Jokowi announced that COVID-19 hit Indonesia on March 02, 2020 and that there were policies to stop the virus. This has an impact on community social activities, including religious traditions. Therefore, this article will discuss the social changes of religious traditions, namely yasinan. The research was conducted in Tawangrejo Village, Wonodadi District, Blitar Regency because the researchers wanted to introduce the privilege and uniqueness of the yasinan tradition in this village. This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Collecting data through interviews, surveys, taking photos directly, and using literature from previous research journals as a reference. The results of the study in the form of social changes in the Yasinan tradition in Tawangrejo Village were analyzed using Talcott Parsons' AGIL theory (adaptation, goal attainment, integration, and latent). This paper aims to provide insight into the current phenomena for future knowledge that there has been a social change in the yasinan tradition during the COVID-19 pandemic era.
