Abstract

ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan bagaimana dakwah Kanjeng Jimat dalam menyebarkan agama Islam hingga berhasil diterima oleh masyarakat Berbek dan mampu membaur dengan budaya setempat yakni Hindu-Budha, serta mengidentifikasikan bukti-bukti peninggalannya. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian sejarah yang terdiri dari empat tahap, adapun empat tahapan tersebut adalah, yang pertama heuristik (pengumpulan sumber sejarah), yang kedua kritik sumber sejarah, yang ketiga interprestasi (penafsiran), dan yang keempat historiografi (penyusunan hasil penelitian). Masyarakat Berbek sebelum datangnya Islam kebanyakan adalah beragama Hindu-Budha, setelah kedatangan Kanjeng Jimat dan melakukan dakwah mengenalkan ajaran Islam, pelan-pelan masyarakat Berbek mulai membuka diri untuk menerima ajaran Islam. Hasil penelitian ini adalah mengindikasikan proses dakwah yang dilakukan Kanjeng Jimat di wilayah Berbek dan sekitarnya. Adapun bukti peninggalan dakwah Kanjeng Jimat yakni, masjid Yoni Al-Mubarok terletak di desa Kacangan, Berbek, Nganjuk, beduk, bencet berada di serambi masjid, dan makam Kanjeng Jimat terletak di barat masjid. The method used in this study is a historical research method which consists of four stages, the four stages are, the first is heuristics (collection of historical sources), the second is criticism of historical sources, the third is interpretation (interpretation), and the fourth is historiography (compilation of historical sources). research result). The Berbek people before the arrival of Islam were mostly Hindu-Buddhist, after the arrival of Kanjeng Jimat and doing da'wah to introduce Islamic teachings, the Berbek people slowly began to open themselves to accept Islamic teachings. The results of this study indicate the da'wah process carried out by Kanjeng Jimat in the Berbek area and its surroundings. As for evidence of the legacy of Kanjeng Jimat's da'wah, namely, the Yoni Al-Mubarok mosque is located in the village of Kacangan, Berbek, Nganjuk, the beduk, bencet are in the foyer of the mosque, and the tomb of Kanjeng Jimat is located in the west of the mosque.
