English Education Department. State Islamic Institute (IAIN) of Tulungagung. Advisor: Dr. Nurul Chojimah, M. Pd. Keywords : E-Learning Method, Covid-19 Pandemic, English This research is based on learning a foreign language which is difficult for students to accept in Indonesia, so it requires several effective and efficient strategies. Coupled with the Covid-19 pandemic, which required teachers to innovate learning so that the material was easily accepted by students. The formulation of the problems in this study are: 1) How is the implementation of the E-Learning method during the Covid-19 pandemic at SMA Negeri 1 Gondanglegi? 2) What is the strategy of the English teacher in using the e learning method during the Covid-19 pandemic at SMA Negeri 1 Gondanglegi? This research is a qualitative research method. Data collection techniques were carried out by participatory observation, interviews and documentation. After the data is obtained, then it is analyzed with the concept of data analysis with data reduction steps, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the English teacher's strategy of using the E-Learning method during the Covid-19 pandemic resulted in the implementation of the E-Learning method during the Covid-19 pandemic having stages of preparation for learning, opening, discussing material, and closing. The second research result is the strategy used in the E-Learning method during the Covid-19 pandemic, namely the strategy of Discovery Learning, Inquiry Learning, and Problem Based learning. Penelitian ini didasarkan pada pembelajaran bahasa asing yang sulit diterima siswa di Indonesia, sehingga diperlukan beberapa strategi yang efektif dan efisien. Ditambah dengan pandemi Covid-19 yang menuntut guru melakukan inovasi pembelajaran agar materi mudah diterima siswa. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah: 1) Bagaimana penerapan metode E-Learning pada saat pandemic Covid-19 di SMA Negeri 1 Gondanglegi? 2) Bagaimana strategi guru bahasa Inggris dalam menggunakan metode E-learning pada saat pandemic Covid-19 di SMA Negeri 1 Gondanglegi? Penelitian ini merupakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi partisipatif, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Setelah data diperoleh, selanjutnya dianalisis dengan konsep analisis data dengan langkah reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa strategi guru bahasa Inggris dalam menggunakan metode E-Learning pada saat pandemi Covid-19 mengakibatkan penerapan metode E-Learning pada saat pandemi Covid-19 mengalami tahapan persiapan pembelajaran, pembukaan, diskusi materi, dan penutup. Hasil penelitian kedua adalah strategi yang digunakan dalam metode E-Learning pada saat pandemi Covid-19 yaitu strategi Discovery Learning, Inquiry Learning, dan Problem Based learning.
