Abstract

ABSTRAK Artikel ini mengidentifikasi tentang resepsikhalayak remaja terhadap konten kekerasan dalam serial "Girl From Nowhere". Tujuan dari artikel ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan resepsi khalayakterhadap konten kekerasan yang terdapat dalam Serial "Girl From Nowhere". Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis resepsi model encoding - decoding milik Stuart Hall. Sasaran dari penelitian ini adalah khalayak di kalangan remaja yang telah menonton serial “Girl From Nowhere”. Hal ini dikarenakan dalam serial tersebut maupun di kehidupan nyata, korban yang terdapat dalam kasus-kasus kekerasan mayoritas merupakan anak-anak remaja terutama mereka yang berjenis kelamin perempuan. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan adalah melalui wawancara secara mendalam terhadap enam informan remaja yang telah menonton Serial "Girl From Nowhere". Hasil penelitian menunjukkan berbagai macam bentuk resepsi dari para informan terhadap Serial "Girl From Nowhere", yang mana menghasilkan bahwa seluruh informan berada pada posisi oppositional, yaitu seluruh informan menolak terhadap penggambaran konten kekerasan dalam Serial "Girl From Nowhere" karena dianggap sudah keterlaluan, dan memberikan dampak buruk kepada perubahan pola pikir serta perilaku remaja. Para informan dalam penelitian ini didominasi oleh remaja SMA berjenis kelamin perempuan yang terdiri dari 7 orang, dan 3orang remaja SMA berjenis kelamin laki-laki. Pemaknaan yang dilakukan oleh para informan merupakan hasil penggambaran yang signifikan berdasarkan culture setting atau kondisi lingkungan yang berbeda dari tiap informan. sehingga pemaknaannya merupakan hasil pengalaman yang dialami informan dalam lingkungan tersebut. Kata Kunci: analisis resepsi, kekerasan, Serial "Girl From Nowhere" TEENAGE RECEPTIONS ON VIOLENT CONTENT IN THE SERIAL "GIRL FROM NOWHERE" ABSTRACT This article identifies the youth audience's reception of violent content in the "Girl From Nowhere" series. The purpose of this article is to describe the audience's reception of violent content in the "Girl From Nowhere" series. This research uses the reception analysis method of Stuart Hall's encoding - decoding model. The target of this research is the audience among teenagers who have watched the series "Girl From Nowhere". This is because in the series as well as in real life, the victims found in cases of violence are mostly teenagers, especially those who are female. The research method used is through in-depth interviews with six teenage informants who have watched the "Girl From Nowhere" series. The results of the study showed that there were various forms of reception from the informants towards the "Girl From Nowhere" series, which resulted that all of the informants were in oppositional positions, namely all informants rejected the depiction of violent content in the "Girl From Nowhere" series because they were considered to be outrageous, and have a negative impact on changes in the mindset and behavior of adolescents. The informants in this study were dominated by female high school youth consisting of 7 people, and 3 male high school teenagers. The meaning made by the informants is the result of a significant depiction based on the culture setting or different environmental conditions of each informant. so that the meaning is the result of the experience experienced by the informant in that environment.
