It can be said that psychological problems in the process of teaching and leaming are very influential, both intemally and extemally. Psychological problems are problems that often interfere with emotional or physical health. Lack of self-confidence is a common psychological problem for students and teachers. Several factors can influence this phenomenon. Lack of readiness, lack of subjective experience, and poor understanding of the material are examples that we often find in some students in the leaming process. In this case, seventh grade English students at MTsN 1, Tulungagung, also had psychological problems leaming English during the COVID-19 pandemic. This prompted researchers to explore the different psychological problems students faced in leaming English during the COVID-19 pandemic. The general problem of this research is "What are the psychological problems of students with leaming English during the COVID-19 pandemic?" and "How do students solve their psychological problems in leaming English in the COVID-19 pandemic?" The general purpose of this study is to analyze students' psychological problems in leaming English during the COVID pandemic and to find Solutions to these problems in leaming English during the COVID-19 pandemic. The researcher used a qualitative descriptive method. The data sources in this study were seventh grade students by making observations in each class and interviewing several students who had psychological problems in leaming English during the COVID-19 pandemic and the English teacher, who becarne the second source of data from the researcher. Researchers conducted interviews with teachers regarding psychological problems faced by students related to leaming English during the COVID-19 pandemic at MTsN 1 Tulungagung. As a result, the data for this study were gathered through observations and interviews. Then the researchers used interactive analysis methods to analyze the data and draw conclusions. To check the credibility of the data, the researcher used data sources and triangulation of the methodology in this study. By using triangulation of data sources, researchers collect data from various sources to check the validity of the data. Based on the results of observations and interviews, it is known that students have psychological problems in leaming English during the COVID-19 pandemic related to lack of confidence, lack of motivation to leam, shyness, fear of making mistakes, and anxiety. The psychological problem of students is that they feel that they are lacking in leaming English, such as in pronunciation, grammar, and English vocabulary. In this case, students overcome it by continuing to leam English and trying to understand vocabulary that they do not understand.
