The Effectiveness of Using Run to The Board Games Towards Students’ Vocabulary Mastery for Seventh Grade of SMP Islam Al Ishlah Trowulan Mojokerto. Thesis. English Education Deparment. Faculty of Teaching Training and Education. State Islamic University Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung. Advisor: Dr. Dwi astuti Wahyu Nurhayati, S.S.M.Pd. Keywords: Run to The board Game, Vocabulary Mastery The research was based on previous research that suggested that some students had problems in studying vocabulary. The student were still trying to understand the English vocabulary. The Researcher used the Run to the Board Game to find the effectiveness of the games on vocabulary mastery. The purpose of study is to determine effectivess on the use of Run to The Board Game at the seventh grade student of SMP Islam Al Ishlah Trowulan Mojokerto. The researcher used quasi-experimental research design with a quantitative approach. The sample of this study involves 2 classess, consisted of VII A as the experimental class and VII B class as the control class. In this study, the researcher used Run to The Board Game method. The experimental group consisted of 27 students and the control of 27 students. After the validity test, the instrument data consisted of 20 questions for the pre-test and 20 questions for the post-test. This study used the Independent Sample T-Test to test the hypothesis with SPSS version 25. The results of statictial calculatios show that Run to The Board Game is effectively used in improving students’ vocabulary mastery. the result of statistical significant calculation (2-Tailed) from the Independent Sample T-Test stated that the significance value was 0.001. It could be interpreed that the significance value was less than the significance level. As a result, there was a significant improve in using the Run to The Board Game method on vocabulary mastery in the Seventh Grade of SMP Islam Al Ishlah Trowulan Mojokerto. Run to The Board can help students improve vocabulary mastery. Therefore, it could be concluded that Run to The board Game could be used as an alternative method and could be contribute to teaching students’ vocabulary mastery.
