Keywords: frequency, watching, YouTube, listening, correlation study Youtube is an online application that provides a variety of information that is packaged in the form of videos. Listening is the ability to understand what the speaker said. Listening requires audio or audio-visual to practice skills, accuracy, and understanding in listening to spoken language, so that listening achievement will be good. Youtube is often used as a learning medium by teachers, especially in English lessons to improve students' listening skills during the Covid-19 pandemic. Because of this, students tend to open YouTube more often and their listening skills will be trained. Some experts suggest that YouTube can improve students' language skills. The formulation of the problem in this research is: Is there a correlation between students’ frequency in watching English videos on the Youtube app and their listening achievement of the eighth-grade students at Mts Assyafi'iyah Gondang Tulungagung?. The purpose of this research was to determine whether there is a correlation between the frequency of students watching English videos on Youtube and their listening achievement of the eighth-grade students at MTs. Assyafi'iyah Gondang Tulungagung. This research uses quantitative research method where the research design is correlation. This research uses Pearson Product Moment Correlation analysis to determine whether there is a relationship between the two variables. This research used cluster random sampling to get the sample. The samples consist of 30 eighth-grade students of MTs Assya’fi’iyah Gondang Tulungagung. To collect the data of both variables, students were asked to fill out questionnaire based on information related to their frequency of watching English videos on Youtube and take listening test to measure their listening achievement. The correlation calculation results that the significant value in this research was found to be 0.077 which is greater than the significance level (0.05). It is known that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted while the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected. Thus, the results of this research state that there is a correlation between students’ frequency in watching English videos on YouTube app and their listening achievement of the eighth-grade students at Mts Assyafi'iyah Gondang Tulungagung. The correlation between students frequency in watching English videos on YouTube and Their listening achievement has a very low correlation strenght and has a positive direction of correlation. Based on the result of this research, English videos on Youtube app can be an alternative medium by teacher to improve students listening acievement in online learning (Daring) and classroom learning.
