Abstract

Murabahah bil wakalah financing is an option both for Islamic banks and for customers, especially during the post-covid-19 pandemic. The characteristics of murabahah bil wakalah financing which have the convenience of making the nuances of justice are not maximally applied. Margin on murabahah financing is a reward for the hard work carried out by Islamic banks with the principle of buying and selling. However, at the time of wakalah principle, the reward is actually the right of both parties between the Islamic bank and the customer, even though with a different portion in the distribution. This paper aims to analyze the fulfillment of the principle of distributive justice in murabahah bil wakalah financing. This paper is analyzed with a qualitative approach and the type of research is a literature study. The results show that in an effort to fulfill distributive justice in murabahah bil wakalah financing products, the determination of ujroh for wakalah transactions given by Islamic banks to customers and margin payment obligations from customers to Islamic banks for murabahah transactions on agreed goods. Considering that in the wakalah bill financing product, there is customer participation in searching for the goods to be purchased. The practical implications in this paper are applying Islamic banks to the spirit of business and distributive justice between Islamic banks and customers, increasing customer trust in the post-covid-19 pandemic, becoming a sharia bank intermediation strategy for goods needed for consumptive and productive purposes.
