Human communication behavior is increasingly influenced by various sources and the sophistication of technology is growing rapidly. Language as an instrument in communication absorbs various other languages, so the language is not fully intact. Language disabilities often occur anywhere and anytime, especially among young people and users of social media. Related to the prevalence of language disabilities, namely intentional typos, error analysis can be carried out to identify forms of errors in social media. Error analysis of intentional typos can help the next generation to know that language in social media has received various influences so the language is not perfect. The formulation of the problem in this study is the types and characteristics of intentional typography errors found in captions and comments on Instagram. This study aims to find out the types and characteristics of intentional typography errors made in typing captions and comments by Instagram users, as well as to describe the original word form of the various intentional typography errors found. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of content analysis research, where captions and comments on Instagram are categorized as content. The data in this study were obtained by documentation from comments and comments on Instagram that contained intentional typography, which was then analyzed by content analysis to classify the types of typography errors found and describe the characteristics of the intentional typography errors that appeared. The researcher found seven types of intentional typography errors through the analysis of captions and comments on Instagram that had been carried out. These types include Substitution with the characteristics of replacing one or more letters in a word, Addition with the characteristics of adding one or more letters in a word, Omission with the characteristics of removing one or more letters in a word, Combination (substitution + addition) with the characteristics of replacement and the addition of one or more letters in a word, Combination (substitution + omission) with the characteristics of replacing and removing one or more letters in a word, Combination (addition + omission) with the characteristics of adding and removing one or more letters in a word, and Combination (substitution + addition + omission) with the characteristics of replacing, adding, and removing one or more letters in a word.
