Abstract

The thesis entitled "Development of Edmodo Application Teaching Materials to Improve Students' Self Efficacy and Students' Mathematical Problem Solving Ability Comparative Materials for Class VII at SMPN 1 Ngunut Tulungagung" was written by Ahdinia Fatmala Nur Laili with the promoter Dr. Dewi Asmarani, M.Pd. and Dr. Umm Sholihah, S.Pd., M.Si. Entering the era of society 5.0 or super smart society (society 5.0) which is a renewal of the industrial era 4.0 where society is the main component in the renewal of this era. There are three components in the era of society 5.0, namely improving problem solving skills, being a problem solver and improving critical thinking skills. Self efficacy and mathematical problem solving is one of the subject goals that must be achieved. The Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in a lot of education in schools being stopped and replaced with online learning. One of the online learning media is Edmodo. This e-learning learning model can increase self-efficacy and the results of mathematical problem solving abilities are better than conventional participants. The formulation of the problem in this research are: (1) How is the process of developing teaching materials through the Edmodo application to improve students' self-efficacy and mathematical problem solving abilities of students in comparison material for class VII at SMPN 1 Ngunut that is valid, practical, and effective?; (2) Is there any effect of using teaching materials through the Edmodo application to improve students' self-efficacy and mathematical problem solving abilities of students in comparison material for class VII at SMPN 1 Ngunut?. This study uses a Research and Development approach with the ADDIE model. Methods of collecting data with student response questionnaires and self efficacy questionnaires, interviews, observations, and mathematical problem solving ability test questions. Data analysis technique assisted manova test using SPSS 16.0 This research and development resulted in a product in the form of Interactive Powerpoint Teaching Materials through Edmodo with the conclusion that: (1) the results of the validation of material experts were 84% and the validation of media experts was 82%, the results of the practicality analysis based on the results of a positive student response questionnaire were 89%. Effective based on data from the results of the post test value analysis with an average of 79%. (2) There is a significant influence of self-efficacy and mathematical problem-solving abilities compared to classes that do not use developed teaching materials with a value of 0.031 or <0.05. It can be concluded that there is a significant influence of self-efficacy and student learning outcomes that apply the developed teaching materials and student learning outcomes that use teaching materials.
