Abstract

Abstract Reading interest is a desire in a person to engage in reading activities for enjoyment and without coercion from others. Fostering an enthusiasm of reading necessitates the participation of numerous parties, particularly the family environment. Reading interest does not develop on its own, so beginning reading activities at a young age is essential. The objective of this study was to determine implementation the "lets read digital library" application in fostering their children’s interest in reading, as well as the obstacles parents face in fostering their children's interest in reading. This study employs a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach, drawing on eight sources. In this study, data were gathered through observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis using the Miles and Huberman method, which includes the steps of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The findings of this study indicate that parents can use the "lets read digital library" application to increase their children's interest in reading. Parents face obstacles from the child himself, which include two factors: internal factors and external constraints while using the "lets read digital library" application. Parental efforts to confront one of these challenges is providing children with motivation or full support. Keywords: Digital Library, Lets Read, Reading Interest
