Based on the description above, this study aims to determine whether card games are effective for third grade students at SDN 03 Rejotangan to memorize vocabulary. In this study, the method used is a quantitative approach method. While the research design used was a pre-experimental research design using one group pre-test and post-test. There are two variables in this study, namely the use of card game (X) as the independent variable and the students' vocabulary memorization (Y) as the dependent variable. This study uses pre-test and post-test to collect data. The population of this study were all third grade students at SDN 03 Rejotangan, totaling 18 students. Researchers used a total sampling technique, so that the sample used in this study was the entire population, 18 students. The research results obtained from data analysis showed that there were significant differences in the students' vocabulary memorization scores before and after treatment using card games. In the process of data analysis, the researcher used the IBM SPSS 22.0 program. The average score obtained by students before being taught by card game was 72.22. While the scores obtained by students after being taught by card game was 93.67. Thus, it can be concluded that the average post-test score is higher than the pre-test average score. After being analyzed using the paired sample t test, the result is that the significance value is 0.000, which means it is smaller than 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05) so, the null hypothesis (H0) ofthis study is rejected. So it can be concluded that card game can be used as a medium for teaching vocabulary memorization for third grade elementary school students. And also the use ofcard game to improve vocabulary memorization in third grade students at SDN 03 Rejotangan was effective.
