Abstract

This research was motivated by low student learning outcomes due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic caused plearning is done online. The changes in the learning process made students and parents unable to adapt.The use of inappropriate methods will also affect learning outcomes. If the selection of learning methods is not appropriate, then the learning objectives are not achieved.To solve this problem the recitation method can be used as an alternative in learning. The recitation method is a learning method that provides assignments outside of learning according to a predetermined time and students must be able to account for their work. Based on this description, the researcher wants to find out whether there is an effect of the recitation method during online learning on student learning outcomes in the subject of algebra and the magnitude of its influence. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental type of research.The population in this study were all students of class X SMK Islam 1 Durenan, totaling 240 students and divided into 8 classes, namely class X MM 1, X MM 2, X TKJ 1, X TKJ 2, X BDP, X OTKP, X ANM 1, X ANM 2.While the research sample consisted of 30 students in each class, namely class X BDP as the experimental class and class X MM 2 as the control class, the sample selection technique was purposive sampling technique.. Data collection techniques in this study were tests and documentation. The data analysis technique in this study used the Independent Sample Test t test. Based on the results of the research analysis carried out on a research sample of 60 students, it shows that(1) There is an influence from the application of the recitation method during online learning on student learning outcomes in the subject of algebra in class X SMK Islam 1 Durenan obtained a Sig.(2-tailed) value of 0.002, (2) the great influence of the application of the recitation method during online learning on student learning outcomes on the subject of algebra class X SMK Islam 1 Durenan by 84%.
