Keywords: Grammar Comprehension, Speaking Comprehension Mastering grammar means mastering the meaning and function of its use in context. Grammar is used to interpret the analysis of language systems. In communication, the crucial role of grammar is evident for structuring thoughts. Speaking is a composition of language skills, highlighting its significance in language learning. Proficiency in grammar can enhance speaking abilities accurately and effectively. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between students' mastery of grammar and their speaking abilities in the seventh grade at MTsN 1 Kota Blitar. The research problem is formulated as follows: "Is there a relationship between students' grammar mastery and speaking abilities in the seventh grade at MTsN 1 Kota Blitar?" In this research, the researcher employs a quantitative approach with a correlational research method. The population consists of seventh-grade students at MTsN 1 Kota Blitar, with a sample of 35 students selected using purposive sampling. The research instrument is a speaking performance through paired oral interviews. Before testing the research subjects, the researcher conducted a trial to determine the validity and reliability of the questions. Additionally, the researcher revised any invalid instruments and then tested them on students. Subsequently, the researcher analyzed the data using Spearman's Rho with SPSS 23 to determine the correlation coefficient in this study. The results of this research indicate that there is a relationship between students' mastery of grammar and their speaking abilities in the seventh grade at MTsN 1 Kota Blitar. This is evident in the data analysis as follows: 1) the correlation coefficient is 0.771, meaning students' speaking abilities can be determined based on their mastery of grammar. 2) The significance score (N.Sig-2 tailed) in this study is 0.000, which is less than 0.050 (0.000 < 0.050), indicating that H0 is rejected while H1 is accepted. In other words, there is a relationship between students' mastery of grammar and their speaking abilities.
