Key words : Online game , Vocabulary Mastery Vocabulary is a basic component that must be mastered to learn English. Given that the four skills in English require knowledge of vocabulary. Without vocabulary, there is nothing to be gained. The more students master vocabulary, the better their performance in English will be. Therefore, we need media that can be used to master vocabulary. One of the media used is online games. Online games are electronic games connected to the internet that can be played anywhere through a cell phone or computer and can be connected to several people. The online game used in this study is English Vocabulary by TFlat Học Tiếng Anh. The procedure for using it is that students download this application on the play store on their cell phones. In this application, two game models are provided, the first is provided with multiple choice questions and word strings. The formulation of the problem in this study is " Do the use of online game effective towards students' vocabulary mastery than those who do not use online games?. The purpose of this study is to know the effectiveness of using online game towards students’ vocabulary mastery at MTsN 2 Tulungagung. The research methods used in this study include: 1) the design of this study is quasi experimental, 2) the population of this study is the entire class VIII MTsN 2 Tulungagung consisting of 11 classes, 3) the sample used is class 8H students as the experimen group and class 8G as the control group, 4) the variables are dependent and independent variables. The dependent variable is the effectiveness of playing online games regularly. While the independent variable is the mastery of student vocabulary, 5) The research instruments are pre-test and post-test, 6) The data analysis uses Independent Sample T-test using the SPSS version 26.0 program. The results showed that the mean value of the mean of experiment class is 0.5728 and the mean of the control group is 0.3791. However, the increase in the experimental group was higher than the control group. In addition, this is also evidenced by the results of the Independent sample T-test showing that the significance value is 0.011. This means that the significance value is smaller than the level coefficient (0.011 < 0.005). This shows that the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is effectiveness of using online game toward students vocabulary mastery at MTsN 2 Tulungagung.
