Abstract

This research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi experimental design type of research. The population in this study was students of class VII MTs Negeri 4 Trenggalek for the 2021/2022 school year. In sampling, purposive sampling technique is used. Researchers take two classes, namely class VII A as an experimental class and class VII C as a control class. The data collection techniques used are tests and documentation. The analytical techniques used are the t-test and the MANOVA test. The results of this study show that (1) There is an effective influence on the provision of HOTS type questions on the problem-solving ability of class VII MTs Negeri 4 Trenggalek students. Based on the calculation of the t-test, the value of the t-test obtainedt_hitung = 6,725 ≥ t_tabel= 1,673 and a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. So it can be said that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, (2) ada effectively influence the provision of HOTS type questions on the learning outcomes of class VII MTs Negeri 4 Trenggalek students. Based on the calculation of the t-test, it is obtained that the value of t_hitung = 13,449 ≥ t_tabel= 1,673 and a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. So it can be said that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, (3) there is an effective influence on the provision of HOTS type questions on problem-solving ability and learning outcomes of class VII MTs Negeri 4 Trenggalek students. Based on manova test calculations at SPSS 25.0 output, significant values were obtained in Pillai's Trace, Wilks' Lambda, Hotelling's Trace, and Roy's Largest Root of 0.000.
