This present study examines to validated the Eysenck theory about correlation between extraversion personality that states the extroverted individuals tend to be more confident and comfortable in social situations, which can improve their speaking skills. This research aims to provide empirical data to understand the extent to which extroversion affects students' speaking abilities, as well as to help educators develop more effective teaching methods that appropriate students' extraversion personality characteristics. Speaking is act of communicating through the use of spoken language. One important aspect that used to express ideas, emotions and information in human interaction process. Study proved that one factor can influence speaking is the personality of human itself, such as extraversion. Extraversion is one of the dimensions in personality which have concentration to the outside world and more interest with something happening in their environment. They are typically talk active, enthusiastic and enjoy being the center of attention. The extraversion personality in this study was showed that scores 6-10 into extravert, scores 1-5 into introvert.   The objectives of this research surely to fulfill the research question about is there any significant correlation between student’s extraversion personality and speaking ability. This study was conducted at 8th grade of MTs. Maarif Tulungagung in academic year 2023/2024 with the 74 students as population and 25 students as a sample of the research using the non-probability sampling, that is convenience sampling technique. The method of this study is quantitative research with correlation approach. The instruments to collecting the data were use questionnaire and test. Questionnaire is used to measure student’s extraversion personality which is Eysenck Personality Questionnaire Revised Short (EPQR-S) form. Test is used to measure speaking ability then asses by speaking rubric. For analyzing the data, this research use Pearson Chi Square. The student’s extraversion personality categorized in extrovert (56%), introvert (44%) in extraversion personality. While, categorized into competence (52%), incompetence (48%) speaking ability. Based on the analyze the data value of Pearson Chi Square was 0.165. That is bigger than 0.05 or 5%. Based on this, it can be said that the null hypothesis is not rejected. It can be interpreted that there is no correlation between student’s extraversion personality and speaking ability. The higher student's extraversion score not influence the competence of their speaking ability.
