Abstract

ABSTRACT Sarjana Thesis with entitled “Koping Stres Penghayat Kapribaden dalam Menghadapi Diskriminasi (Studi Kasus di Dusun Kalianyar Desa Ngunggahan Kecamatan Bandung Kabupaten Tulungagung)” written by Fitri Lutfiani, Student Registration Number. 2833123004, Advisor Ahmad Sauqi S.Ag, M.Pd.I. Key words: Coping Stress, Penghayat Kapribaden, Discrimination This research is motivated by a phenomenon of discrimination experienced by minority groups that penghayat Kapribaden teachings. Therefore, researcher is interested in conducting research to determine the stress coping strategies used by penghayat Kapribaden in facing discrimination in village Kalianyar Ngunggahan Bandung Tulungagung. The focus of research in this study were (1) What forms of discrimination on penghayat Kapribaden in village Kalianyar? (2) How does stress coping strategies on penghayat Kapribaden in village Kalianyar? (3) How is the psychological impact inflicted on penghayat Kapribaden in the hamlet Kalianyar ?. The purpose of this study were (1 ) To determine the forms of discrimination on penghayat Kapribaden in village Kalianyar (2) To determine the coping strategies of stress on penghayat Kapribaden in village Kalianyar (3) To know the psychological impact inflicted on penghayat Kapribaden in village Kalianyar. This study uses qualitative research with case study approach. Data are collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. This study uses snowball sampling technique with 3 subjects in village penghayat Kapribaden Kalianyar that are subjected to discrimination from society. The results showed that the forms of discrimination experienced by penghayat Kapribaden is being sworn, threatened, got innuendos and ostracized by the community leaders such as kiai and some people because they follow the heresy and leave the religious laws of Islam. Subjects control by means of problem focused coping means to immediately take action to solve a problem or find useful information to help solving the problem. Nevertheless in some cases, the subjects also use emotion focused coping, which in addition to trying to find answers to the problem, the subjects were also trying to reduce the pressure to distract him with some other workload and seek support from others to solve the problem. It has a psychological impact on subjects such as disturbing the growing confidence in various social settings, resulting in traumatic, resulting in fear, loss of the ability to act and a sense of helplessness.
