Advisor: Nuriyatul Hamidah S.S., M.Pd Keywords: result of learning, speaking ability, guessing game method Speaking is a language skill certain of a kind productive. Through someone speaking ability to convey experience through, creative idea, and opinion to people using a good and correct language. The ability to speak can be improved in a way, as an educator needs to know how to improve the speaking ability of a students in the process learning. The problem of the research is were “How to improve students speaking ability in oral descriptive text by using Guessing Game method at MTSN 2 Trenggalek”. Purpose of study knowing students’ speaking ability at seventh grade by using Guessing Game method. The benefit of this research is that the Guessing Game method can improve the speaking skills of class VII students of MTSN 2 Trenggalek. This type of research is classroom action research (CAR) which is carried out in cycle stages covering the stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this class action research were class VII students of MTSN 2 Trenggalek, totaling 30 students. The object of this research is the ability to speak using the Guessing Game method. The instuments used in this study were learning achievement test. The data from this study were analyzed descriptive qualitative and quantitative. The result showed that the learning activities of class VII-I students of MTSN 2 Trenggalek using Guessing Game method became more active and enthusiastic in learning. In the first cycle of student learning activities with failure criteria, with the result achieved by 67.83 of 30 students, while in the second cycle of student learning activities with very good criteria, with the result achieved by 75.66 of 30 students. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that the learning outcomes of class VII-I students of MTSN 2 Trenggalek using Guessing Game method have increased.
