English Education Department. Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training. State Islamic University (UIN) of Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung. Advisor : Nuriyatul Hamidah, S.S., M.Pd. Keywords: Teaching using U-Dictionary, vocabulary mastery This study aims to determine significant differences in students' vocabulary scores before and after being taught using U-Dictionary application at MTsN 1 Kota Blitar, and to measure the effectiveness of U-Dictionary application in increasing vocabulary mastery. The formulation of the problem in this study is "Is there any significant different score of the eighth graders‟ vocabulary mastery before and after being taught by using U-Dictionary application at MTsN 1 Kota Blitar ?" This research was conducted using a quantitative approach with pre- experimental research methods. The population in this study was students of class VIII at MTsN 1 Kota Blitar, the sample in this study was class VIII i MTsN 1 Kota Blitar, with total number is 32 students. The instrument used in this study was a test in the form of a pre-test and post-test of vocabulary, the data analysis used was a paired sample t- test. Based on the results of the data analysis, it can be concluded that the use of U-Dictionary application is effective in increasing the eighth grade students' vocabulary mastery scores at MTsN 1 Kota Blitar. This effectiveness is shown by the increase in the average score of students in the pre-test and post-test. From 71.88 it increases to 88.56. Then the results of the paired sample t test show a significance value of 0.000 and less than 0.050 (0.000 < 0.050). It means that there was significant different score in vocabulary of the students before and after being taught using U-Dictionary application. Hence, H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted.
