Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training. State Islamic University Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah of Tulungagung. Advisor: Prof. Dr. Erna Iftanti, S.S., M.Pd. Keywords: Reading Comprehension, Reading Teaching, Teacher Strategies Teaching strategies play an important role in the acquisition of foreign language learning. Especially in improving students' reading skills. Sometimes students experience misunderstandings in digesting a text that they have read. Teachers as facilitators must be able to choose the right strategy to teach reading comprehension in order to improve students' thinking skills in digesting English texts. This study aims to: (1) find out the strategies used by teacher in learning Reading Comprehension at MTs Sultan Agung Jabalsari, (2) find out how teacher' strategies are used to teach reading comprehension at MTs Sultan Agung Jabalsari., The approach used in this study is qualitative with a descriptive type. The subject in this study was an English teacher who teaches at MTs Sultan Agung Jabalsari. This study uses three instruments, namely observation, interviews and documentation. The data obtained has been processed using several efforts, namely data reduction, data presentation, data verification and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of this study, it was found that there was 1 strategy used by English teachers in teaching reading comprehension, namely, KWL. Teachers have also used other strategies such as SQ3R (Survey, Question, Read, Recall, and Review), and Learned) and Jigsaw, but they were less effective. The models in implementing these strategies are almost the same. However, the effective strategy to implement is KWL, because it is in accordance with the character of the students. In implementing teaching strategies, teachers make learning plans and reading comprehension instructions before learning activities in the classroom begin. Students are helped by underlining vocabulary that is not yet understood and can open an English dictionary to add vocabulary and help reading comprehension, then the teacher gives several questions to see the extent of students' reading comprehension.
