Abstract

Writing Essay: the Road to Writing Papers for Publication (Teacher’s Book) was developed based on the EFL teachers’ needs. It is used specifically as a reference for EFL teachers who teach academic writing. This book comprises five chapters focusing on essays by integrating active reading into writing. Each chapter was organized in the same organization and it provides teachers with syllabi, course policies, map models, rubrics, exercises, and teaching activities leading students to write papers for publication. This book is different from a student’s book in that it is completed with answer keys for some exercises. The exercises in this book were developed gradually from finding out the topics for writing, recognizing the language and structural features of essays from doing active reading up to writing an essay based on the students’ schemata. Such a way is selected to help students solve problems about finding ideas for writing academic papers and help teachers give their students writing experience. Thus, this book is expected to be a bridge to writing papers eligible to be published.
