The Correlation Between Students’ Extraversion Personality And Their Writing Skills Of Narrative Text At The Tenth Graders Of SMA Negeri 1 Ngunut andTeacherTraining.StateIslamicUniversity (UIN) Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung.Advisor:Dr.IdaIsnawati,M.Pd. xi Keywords: Correlation, Extraversion Personality, Writing, Narrative Text This study explores the correlation between students' extraversion personality traits and their writing skills in narrative texts among tenth graders at SMA Negeri 1 Ngunut Tulungagung. The research aims to determine whether a significant relationship exists between the level of extraversion and the quality of narrative writing among the students. Utilizing a quantitative research design, data were collected from a sample of students through a combination of personality assessments and narrative writing tests. The extraversion levels were measured using a standardized personality questionnaire, while narrative writing skills were evaluated based on specific criteria, including creativity, coherence, and language use. The formulation of this research problem is, "Is there any correlation between students’ extraversion personality and their writing skills of narrative text at the tenth-grade of SMAN 1 Ngunut Tulungagung?” This research used quantitative approach with correlation design. The population is taken from tenth grade senior high school students of 1 Ngunut Tulungagung and the sample was 36 students from X-A. The instruments used were extraversion personality questionnaire and writing test of narrative text. PearsonProduct Moment was used to analyze the data after the data were collected. Based on the research analysis, there is a correlation between extraversion personality and writing skills of narrative text at the tenthgrade of SMAN 1 Ngunut Tulungagung. The result of Pearson Product Moment calculation above obtained a correlation coeficient value of 0.720, indicating a high possitive correlation between extraversion personality and narrative writing skills.
