Abstract

Organization is a gathering place for people who have a common goal. Of course, in an organization there are things that influence a person in joining an organization. However, there are many problems faced by members of the organization in participating in organizational activities, one of which is the lack of interest of members to be active and participate in organizational activities. Thus, it is feared that the existence of these problems will result in social problems which are feared to have an impact on more important aspects of life. This study aims to determine the significant effect of social support on the interest in organizing members of the Village Children's Forum in Tulungagung Regency. The population in this study was 257 Village Children's Forums. The sample for this study was 150 members of the Village Children's Forum who were taken using the non-probability method with the type of accidental taking. The results of the hypothesis test showed a significant effect of peer social support on organizational interest with a sig value of 0.005 (p<0.05). It is known that R square has a value of 0.051, this shows that social support variables have an influence on organizational interest variables of 5.1%, while the rest are influenced by other factors not mentioned in this study. Based on the hypothesis test with this value it can be stated that the research hypothesis is accepted, namely peer social support has a significant effect on the interest in organizing members of the Village Children's Forum in Tulungagung Regency.
