Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of using Baamboozle as a digital learning medium in teaching the simple past tense to eighth-grade students at MTs Miftaahul Uluum Sutojayan Blitar. The method used is quasi-experimental with a nonequivalent control group design. The sample consists of two classes, namely the experimental group taught using Baamboozle and the control group taught using conventional methods. Data collection was conducted through pre-tests and post�tests, and then analyzed using descriptive statistics, N-Gain scores, and independent sample t-tests.The research results show that the experimental group achieved an average post-test score and N-Gain score of 53.08%, which falls into the moderate category, while the control group only reached an N-Gain score of 29.37%, classified as low. The t-test results showed a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05, which means there is a significant difference in grammar mastery between the two groups. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference in grammar means between the experimental and control groups.
