Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training. State Islamic University of Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung. Advisor: Dr. Nany Soengkono Madayani, S.S., M.Pd.I. Keywords: reading comprehension, digital media, Kakao Page, Solo Leveling. Reading comprehension is a key skill in English language learning, and the devlopment of digital media has introduced new ways to support this skill. One of the platforms gaining attention is Kakao Page, particularly through its popular manhwa “Solo Leveling.” This study explores the perspectives of Kakao Page users regarding how reading “Solo Leveling” contributes to their reading comprehension, especially in understanding vocabulary, summarizing content, and building consistent reading habits. This study aims to explore and analyze how Kakao Page users perception about reading “Solo Leveling” in enhancing their reading comprehension. This research used a qualitative approach by distributing open-ended questionnaires and conducting semi-structured interviews with Kakao Page users who read “Solo Leveling.” The participants were mainly young readers aged between 15-30 years old. The collected data were analyzed thematically to explore how users engage with the manhwa to support their comprehension skills. The findings reveal that most users perceive “Solo Leveling”as beneficial for improving vocabulary, particularly in the context of fantasy and action genres. Readers used context clues, visual elements, and external tools to understand unfamiliar terms. However, some struggled with technical vocabulary tied to the story’s gaming and fantasy elements. When summarizing, users found challenging to condense fast-paced action scenes and multiple characters, but many employed strategies such as focusing on plot, character development, or using illustrations as cues. Additionally, the majority of respondents reported developing consistent and flexible reading habits, adjusting their reading speed according to the text’s complexity. Overall, “Solo Leveling” on Kakao Page is seen not only as an enjoyable digital reading experience but also as a medium that enhances reading comprehension through vocabulary acquisition, summarizing practice, and engagement with interactive storytelling. It is recommended that learners consider intergrating smiliar digital literature into language learning contexts to support literacy and motivation.
