English proficiency is an important competency in preparing students to face global demands, especially in the tourism sector. However, classroom learning that only focuses on theory is often considered insufficient to develop effective speaking skills. The Tourism Hunting Project (THP) offers an experiential learning approach through direct interaction with native speakers and foreign tourists. This study aims to examine the contribution of THP in improving students' speaking skills and their experience in managing tourism activities directly, especially in the English for Tourism course at UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung. This research focuses on the benefits that students gained through their involvement in the Tourism Hunting Project. In particular, it highlights how the program enhanced their practical experience in managing tourism-related activities while improving their English language skills in real-life contexts. Through hands-on practice with native speakers, participants were exposed to authentic communication situations that fostered their confidence and ability to apply theoretical knowledge in a meaningful way. This study uses qualitative approach with case study design. The data collection techniques used were semi-structured in-depth interviews and documentation. Data verification techniques were carried out through triangulation methods. The research findings indicate that students' participation in THP provided significant benefits in improving their speaking fluency, self-confidence, and understanding of hands-on practices in the world of tourism. The program creates a more contextual and enjoyable learning experience than conventional classroom learning. In addition, THP also encourages learning motivation and helps students hone communication skills that are relevant especially in the tourism industry. Kemampuan berbahasa Inggris merupakan kompetensi penting dalam mempersiapkan mahasiswa menghadapi tuntutan global, khususnya di sektor pariwisata. Namun, pembelajaran di kelas yang hanya berfokus pada teori seringkali dianggap kurang efektif dalam mengembangkan keterampilan berbicara yang baik. Tourism Hunting Project (THP) menawarkan pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis pengalaman melalui interaksi langsung dengan penutur asli dan wisatawan asing. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji kontribusi THP dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara mahasiswa serta pengalaman mereka dalam mengelola kegiatan kepariwisataan secara langsung, khususnya dalam mata kuliah English for Tourism di UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung. Penelitian ini berfokus pada manfaat yang diperoleh mahasiswa melalui keterlibatan mereka dalam Tourism Hunting Project. Secara khusus, penelitian ini menyoroti bagaimana program ini meningkatkan pengalaman praktis mereka dalam mengelola kegiatan pariwisata, sekaligus meningkatkan keterampilan berbahasa Inggris dalam konteks nyata. Melalui praktik langsung dengan penutur asli, peserta mendapatkan pengalaman komunikasi otentik yang mendorong kepercayaan diri serta kemampuan dalam menerapkan pengetahuan teori secara bermakna. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara mendalam semi-terstruktur dan dokumentasi. Teknik verifikasi data dilakukan melalui metode triangulasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa partisipasi mahasiswa dalam THP memberikan manfaat yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan kelancaran berbicara, rasa percaya diri, dan pemahaman mereka terhadap praktik langsung di dunia pariwisata. Program ini menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang lebih kontekstual dan menyenangkan dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional di kelas. Selain itu, THP juga mendorong motivasi belajar dan membantu mahasiswa mengasah keterampilan komunikasi yang relevan, khususnya dalam industri pariwisata.
