Dinar Ananta Nurfajarwati. Student ID Number 126203212156. 2025. The Implementation Effect of Audio Segment Method on Listening Skill of the Seventh Grade Student at MTsN 10 Blitar. Thesis. English Education Department. Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training. State Islamic University of Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung. Advisor: Dr. Latif Amrullah, S.S., M.A. Keywords: Audio Segment Method, Listening Skill. The background of this study is based on problems found in learning English at MTsN 10 Blitar, especially in seventh grade students experiencing difficulties in listening skills. This is caused by several factors, including the listening teaching method used by the teacher is a conventional method that makes the lesson less effective and less adequate. Therefore, it is necessary to have new innovations by using more modern methods, such as the Audio Segment Method. The Audio Segment Method is considered effective because it presents audio in pieces that make it easier for students to understand the content of the conversation gradually. The objectives of this study are: 1) Examine students' listening skills before the application of the audio segment method. 2) Examine students' listening skills after the application of the audio segment method. 3) Analyzing the effect of the audio segment method on students' listening skills. The research approach used a quantitative approach with a type of quasi-experimental research with a two-group pre-test and post-test design. The data collection technique in this study was through pre-test and post-test, the results of which were analyzed using statistical tests. Instrument test uses validity test and reliability test. The prerequisite test uses normality test and homogeneity test, and the hypothesis test uses T test. The results of this study showed that: 1) The average post-test score in the experimental class reached 78.17, an increase from the pre-test score of 47.54. Meanwhile, the average value of the control class only reached 59.63. 2) There is a significant difference in students' listening skills before and after the application of the Audio Segment Method. Thus, this method is proven effective in improving the listening skills of seventh grade students of MTsN 10 Blitar.
