Abstract

Tesis dengan Judul Manajemen sekolah adiwiyata dalam mengembangkan karakter peduli lingkungan dan pengaruhnya terhadap budaya sekolah (Studi Sequential Exploratory Mixed Method di MTsN 7 Tulungagung dan SMPN 1 Srengat Blitar) ini di tulis oleh Amaliya Khoirun Nisa’ Lutfiya dengan pembimbing Prof. Dr. H Mujamil Qomar, M.Ag. dan Dr. Hj. Chusnul Chotimah, M.Ag. Keywords: Adiwiyata school management, environmental care character, school culture. Environmental problems that are getting worse due to human actions require environmental awareness character education from an early age. However, the values of environmental care have not been systematically integrated in school education. This study highlights the importance of implementing Adiwiyata school management in shaping students' environmental care character. MTsN 7 Tulungagung and SMPN 1 Srengat Blitar were chosen as research locations because they are actively improving and innovating through environmental programs such as recycling, eco-enzyme training, and environmental working groups, which aim to create an environmentally friendly and sustainable school culture. The focus of the research and questions in writing this Thesis are: 1) How is the environmental policy in developing environmental care character and school culture in MTsN 7 Tulungagung and SMPN 1 Srengat?; 2) How is the environmental-based curriculum in developing environmental care character and school culture in MTsN 7 Tulungagung and SMPN 1 Srengat?; 3) How is the participatory-based environment in developing environmental care character and school culture in MTsN 7 Tulungagung and SMPN 1 Srengat?; 4) How are environmentally friendly supporting facilities in developing environmental care character and school culture in MTsN 7 Tulungagung and SMPN 1 Srengat?; 5) How good is the management of Adiwiyata schools, environmental care character and school culture in MTs Negeri 7 Tulungagung and SMP Negeri 1 Srengat; 6) Is there an influence of environmental insight policy on school culture in MTs Negeri 7 Tulungagung and SMP Negeri 1 Srengat?; 7) Is there an influence of environment-based curriculum on school culture in MTs Negeri 7 Tulungagung and SMP Negeri 1 Srengat?; 8) Is there an influence of participatory-based environment on school culture in MTs Negeri 7 Tulungagung and SMP Negeri 1 Srengat?; 9) Is there an influence of environmentally friendly supporting facilities on school culture in MTs Negeri 7 Tulungagung and SMP Negeri 1 Srengat?; 10) Is there an influence of environmentally conscious character on school culture in MTs Negeri 7 Tulungagung and SMP Negeri 1 Srengat?; 11) Is there a simultaneous influence between environmentally aware policies, environmentally based curriculum, participatory-based environment, environmentally friendly supporting facilities and environmentally conscious character on school culture in MTs Negeri 7 Tulungagung and SMP Negeri 1 Srengat?. This research uses a mixed method, with a sequential exploratory design, where qualitative and quantitative approaches are used sequentially. The first stage data collection technique is through passive participant observation techniques, in-depth interviews and documentation. While the second stage data collection technique, namely through the distribution of questionnaires or questionnaires given to students of MTsN 7 Tulungagung and SMPN 1 Srengat. The data analysis techniques used in this study are in the form of questionnaire validity and reliability tests, descriptive statistical tests, and requirements tests with the help of SPSS for 29.0 Windows. The results of this study indicate that: 1) The formulation of environmental-based school policies is placed as the main pillar in strengthening the vision and culture of the institution. 2) The implementation of an environmental-based curriculum is realized through the integration of environmental issues into various subjects, which are then strengthened by a contextual learning approach. 3) Participatory-based environmental education is realized through the active involvement of all school residents and external partners in ecological activities, which contribute to the formation of environmentally conscious characters and strengthening environmentally aware school culture. 4) Optimization of environmentally friendly facility management plays an important role in supporting the creation of a sustainable school ecosystem while strengthening environmentally aware characters in students' daily lives. 5) The quality of Adiwiyata school management, environmentally aware characters and school culture have fairly good quality. 6) There is a negative and significant influence of environmentally aware policies on school culture. 7) There is a negative and significant influence of the environmental-based curriculum on school culture. 8) There is a positive and significant influence of participatory-based environments on school culture. 9) There is a positive and significant influence of participatory environmentally friendly supporting facilities on school culture. 10) There is a positive and significant influence of environmental care character on school culture. 11) There is a joint influence of policy, curriculum, environment, facilities and environmental care character on school culture.
