This study involved fourth-semester students majoring in English Education Department at UIN SATU Tulungagung. A total of 112 students who had taken the Public Speaking course participated in this study. The result of this study that public speaking anxiety is influenced by four main factors: personal factors (negative self-perception and fear of poor judgment), situational factors (familiarity with the audience), cultural factors (conformity to social norms), and technological factors (dependence on and difficulty using technology). To reduce anxiety, students apply several strategies, including preparation, positive thinking, and peer support. Among these, personal factors are the most significant contributors to students’ public speaking anxiety. Meanwhile, preparation is the most effective and most frequently used strategy. Based on these findings, educators should assist students in implementing structured strategies to manage anxiety, build confidence in public speaking, and create a supportive classroom environment.
