Abstract
Online games are interactive media in the form of video games on online game applications and are currently very popular among the public. In online games, there is a field, namely the field of Esports which is very influential in society and even the country. Esports itself is an Electronic-Esports sports event that has been carried out on a national and even global scale. Therefore, researchers are interested in using online games in the field of esports as the main focus tool that will be studied in this study. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach in which the research is a Literary Study (Library Research) where the data is taken based on library data obtained through library information sources related to the research object. From this research, it can be concluded that online games in the field of esports have a more positive side where in the study of the perspective of communication science online games Esports is a communication forum which is related to starting from the content side, creative industry, especially in the online game ecosystem Esports.
