Key words: Speaking, Two Stay Two Stray Strategy Teaching speaking skill at the second grade of MA students is not easy, because still a lot of students using mother tongue in speaking class. In addition, as it is widely known that speaking is one skill that has many components such as: grammar, fluency, accuracy, and pronunciation. In mastering teaching speaking skill, the teacher here used cooperative learning in teaching, which is two stay two stray strategy. English teacher at the second grade of MA Al-Anwar Durenan who used two stay two stray strategy proved that the students being more active in speaking when discussion and they have the responsibility with their work personally. Therefore the researcher interested to conduct research entitled The Use of Two Stay Two Stray Strategy in Teaching Speaking at The Second Grade of MA Al- Anwar Durenan. The purpose of this research was to describe the two stay two stray implemented by the teacher in teaching speaking at the second grade of MA and the student activities during the implementation of two stay two stray strategy. The research problems were; (1) How is the preparation before teaching speaking by using two stay two stray strategy? (2) How is the process of teaching speaking by using two stay two stray strategy? (3) How is the evaluation teaching speaking by using two stay two stray strategy? This research used descriptive qualitative research. The subject of this study was the English teacher at the second grade of MA and the students of 11th IPS. The data collection methods were observation and interview. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. In addition, the researcher employed triangulation to verify the data. The result of this research revealed that: (1) Before teaching speaking using two stay two stray strategy, the teacher should be done some preparation, the preparation are a) make syllabus, scoring system, and students assignment, which the assignment is suitable for two stay two stray strategy, b) arrange the group of students, c) arrange the class conditions. (2) The students’ follow the teacher’s instruction; sit in a group of four students and discuss, then two students in each group visited another group to share the results of the discussion and exchange opinions, it makes there is an interaction between them, automatically the students can speak a lot and improve their speaking. In addition, by discussion can improving their idea and being more active in the learning process. Hence, the other teacher can use two stay two stray strategy as one of their teaching strategy in speaking. (3) The teacher evaluates the students’ speaking abilities by using two stay two stray strategy, as follows a) when students discuss in groups, b) when the students' presentation in class.
