English Education Department ,Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training. State Islamic Institute (IAIN) of Tulungagung. Advisor: Dr. Erna Iftanti,SS.,M.Pd. Keywords: Regular and Irregular Verb, Word Wall. Based on the writer’s experience in teaching training practice, most of the students have many problems in using regular and irregular verb and this situation makes them lazy to study English. In teaching regular and irregular verb, teacher should choose good strategy. As a result of use media, the students are highly motivated by the variations of media that are used by the teacher. They actually learn regular and irregular without any burden. One of the media that can be used to teaching regular irregular verb is word wall. A word wall is a group of words that are displayed on a wall, bulletin board, chalkboard, or whiteboard in a classroom. There are words printed in a large font so that they are easily visible from all students seating areas. The advantages of the media is that they will learn regular and irregular verb by what they hear and read, sure the students unsuspected also learning listening and reading from the teacher teach. They also enjoy it from the word that the teacher brings to make sentences. The research problems formulated in this research Is there any significant difference in student’s teaching regular and irregular verb before and being taught using word wall media ?. Related to the research problems stated above, the purpose of this research were to know whether there is significant difference in student’s teaching regular and irregular verb before and after being taught using word wall media. The research design in this research is pre-experimental with one group pretest and post test. Moreover ,the population of this research was all students of eight grade students at MTs Ma’arif Bakung Udanawu and the sample was Vlll D class, consisting of 38 students selected by purposive sampling. In addition, the research instrument was test (pretest and posttest). And the data analysis was using t-test, The findings showed significant differences between the pre-test and post test. First the mean of pre-test was 61,18. Second, the mean of post-test was 84,34 Third, there was difference in regular and irregular verb before and after students were taught using word wall as a teaching media. It was showed of the mean of post-test score was higher than pre-test score (84,34> 61.18). Moreover, the test of hypothesis using paired samples t-test that was calculated by using SPSS 18.0.If the significant value (0.000) < significant level (0.05) the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. While if significant value (0.000) > significant level (0.05) the null hypothesis (Ho) is accepted and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is rejected. Because significant value (0.000) is smaller than significant level (0.05), it can be concluded that alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. It means that word wall media for teaching regular and irregular verb is proved to be effective.
