Abstract

ABSTRACT Thesis entitled "Factors Affecting Students Speaking Skills at MA Darul Hikmah Tawangsari Tulungagung" was written by Nurhuda Samor, NIM. 17203153187, Dr. Erna Iftanti, S.S, M.Pd. Keywords: Factors Affecting Speaking Skills. This research was motivated by a curiosity about the factors influencing students' speaking skills at MA Darul Hikmah Tawangsari Tulungagung Indonesia. Because English is very important and as an international language in a world where everyone wants to learn the language, especially speaking. In this case the researcher feels interested in knowing what factors can be influential for students in speaking English so that they can be used and developed in these factors in Patani schools Thailand. The focus ofresearch in writing this essay is: What are the factors that affect students' speaking skills in MA Darul Hikmah Tawangsari Tulungagung. The objective of this study was: Based on the formulate research question, this study is conducted to explain about factors affecting students speaking skills at MA Darul Hikmah Tawangsari Tulungagung. The research method used is descriptive, with the type of qualitative research. Data collection techniques carried out were using interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques used are reducing data, drawing conclusions and interpreting data. The results of this study indicate that the factors that influence students' speaking skills at MA Darul Hikmah Tawangsari Tulungagung are from several factors. Factors of performance conditions, affective factors, listening ability factors, topical knowledge factors and feedback factors during speaking activities. From these factors it is very influential for students to help themselves in developing their speaking skills in the classroom and outside the classroom. Therefore, students not only have influence from the teacher or only in the classroom but also from the cottage environment where programs are held in learning English daily and weekly as additional material and practice so that students are more affected in speaking and can improve themselves in speaking skills.
