Abstract

This research aims to know about a.) The planning of teaching speaking using educational YouTube videos on STIE Kesuma Negara Blitar; b.) The implementation of teaching speaking using educational YouTube videos at STIE Kesuma Negara Blitar; c). Evaluate teaching speaking using educational YouTube videos on STIE Kesuma Negara Blitar and d.) Obstacles faced and how to handle them in teaching speaking using Educational YouTube Videos on STIE Kesuma Negara Blitar. The subject of this research was first grade students of Accounting and Management S1 programs. The both classes consisted of 86 students. The object of this research was to know how to implement the educational YouTube Videos to improve speaking skill of accounting and management students in STIE Kesuma Negara Blitar. This research of this study was qualitative research, using interview and observation to collect the data. Based on interview and observation, the researcher get the information that learning preparation is carried out at the beginning of the semester before starting the active learning, but the lesson plan that has been signed by the rector has been prepared one week before the learning begin. English lecturers are guided by syllabus and lesson plans that have been prepared in advance to run effectively and efficiently learning. English lecturers often use LCD projectors and laptop to support the learning of educational YouTube videos. Then, English lecturers have a special format of assessment so that the assessment takes place more effectively and efficiently. English language lecturers use the standard reference in the assessment, the criteria of students who are considered successful in speaking learning using this YouTube educational video consisting of academic values as the main values and non-academic values with a minimum score B-. The result of using educational YouTube videos in teaching speaking was the students more active to participate and their score is good enough than using conventional way in teaching speaking.
