Keywords: Teaching English, Implementation of teaching English through online model, evaluation conducted in the teaching of English through online model, Teaching English during covid-19 pandemic. The COVID-19 pandemic is currently rife all over the world, including in Indonesia. Consequently, the appearances of problem in various sectors, especially in education. The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the teaching and learning process from what was originally done face-to-face in the classroom to an online learning system through platforms that are widely available today. The learning atmosphere is not pleasant because students have to be silent in front of computer screens, laptops, or smartphones, and because they cannot interact freely with teachers and classmates have reduced students' motivation in learning English. The real challenge for teachers is how to make the learning process not boring and keep it running as it should. teachers are required to always carry out evaluations in order to improve learning effectiveness. The formulation of research problem are: 1). How is the implementation of teaching English through online model during Covid-19 pandemic of the eighth graders at MTsN 5 Magetan? 2). How is the evaluation conducted in the teaching of English through online model during Covid-19 pandemic at the eighth graders of MTsN 5 Magetan? The purpose of the research are: 1). To know the implementation of teaching English through online model during Covid-19 pandemic of the eighth graders at MTsN 5 Magetan. 2). To know the evaluation conducted in the teaching of English through online model during Covid-19 pandemic at the eighth graders of MTsN 5 Magetan. Research method: 1). The research design in this research was descriptive design with qualitative approach. 2). The subject of this research was the English teacher of eighth graders at MTsN 5 Magetan. The procedure collecting data were : 1). The researcher collecting data through doing in-depth interview and documentation of the study. 2). The researcher interviewed, transcript the result of the interview, selected and focused on the data related with research problem. 3). The research showed the selected data in form of description. 4). Draw conclusion based on the analyzed data. The result showed: 1). The learning model that used by English teacher at MTsN 5 is Online learning model. 2). Learning media that used during online learning are Powerpoints and learning videos. 3). Applications used during the online teaching and learning process are e-learning and Whatsapp. 4). The evaluation carried out during the online teaching and learning process is to add learning techniques and change the task collection system.
