ABSTRACT Fitri Setyoningsih. NIM. 12203183201. The Use of TED Talk Video in Educational Learning English at Home Schooling Kampung Inggris Pare Kediri. Sarjana thesis. Tulungagung. English Education Department, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, State Islamic University (UIN) of Sayyid Ali Ramatullah Tulungagung. Advisor: Dr. H. Nursamsu, M.Pd. Keywords: TED Talk; TED video; English Level. The thesis discussed the use of TED Talks Video in Educational Learning English at Home Schooling Kampung Inggris Pare Kediri. TED Talks video believed as a good video resource for people to apply as the supporting media in English learning. It is because it contained a lot of new information and up to date. Therefore, it will be influence students’ learning achievement in English. The formulation of the research problem were: (1) what are the benefits of using TED Talks in Learning English? (2) What are the difficulties of using TED Talks in Learning English? And the purpose of the study were to: (1) Find out the benefits of using TED Talks in Learning English. (2) Figure out the difficulties of using TED Talks in Learning English. In this research, the method that is used is descriptive Qualitative method. And to conduct this research, the researcher collected data through questionnaire. The subjects of this study were 10 students of English language education of Home Schooling English Village (Kampung Inggris) Pare Kediri. Based on the result of this study it related that student’s benefit on educational TED video are a lots. Including the level of english used in TED Talks video and te constrains existed in watching it. The respondents of this study were 10 students of English language education of Home Schooling English Village (Kampung Inggris) Pare Kediri. The result of this research showed that TED video contained intermediate advanced English level. Students also perceived that’s speakers accent, speaking speed and uncommon terms become their constrains in watching the video. But with the existing obstacles, it does not rule out the possibility for students to continue learning English using this TED Talk media.
