Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teaching Education. Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung Islamic University of Tulungagung. Advisor: Dr. Dwi Astuti Wahyu Nurhayati, S.S., M.Pd Keywords: Student’ Perception, Social Media, K-Popers, English Learning Media K-Pop is one of the phenomena happening these days. With the increasing number of fans from abroad liking, the various contents were provided and this raised the question of how they can understand what they are doing and understand their idol well. Of course, language is needed to establish smooth communication between idols and fans and the easiest language that can be used is of course English as an international language. K-Pop idol content can also be a means for K-Popers to learn English. The method used in this research was mixed method which produces quantitative and qualitative data. Researchers used data obtained from questionnaires which were distributed to 154 respondents with purposive sampling as quantitative data. Then qualitative data was obtained from the results of interviews with 8 respondents who were willing to conduct an interview session and were considered to represent other respondents. The findings of this study included three things. First, it was known that K-Popers put idol content as a media for learning English. Second, K-Popers had a very positive perception of K-Pop idol content as a media for learning English, especially to enrich vocabulary. Finally, it was known that K-Popers had two difficulties in the process of learning English through idol content using English translation, namely the lack of vocabulary and also the ability to read less quickly.
