Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya motivasi siswa ketika mempelajari materi matematika disekolah. Tak sedikit siswa menganggap matematika adalah materi yang membosankan dan sulit untuk difahami. Semua itu berdampak pada hasil belajar siswa yang tidak bagus atau di bawah KKM. Metode mengajar guru yang monoton ikut berdampak pada motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa. Maka karena itu, peneliti tergerak melakukan suatu penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode mind mapping terhadap hasil belajar dan motivasi siswa pada materi peluang kelas VIII. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk: 1) untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh yang signifikan metode mind mapping terhadap hasil belajar materi peluang siswa kelas VIII MTs Al Ma’arif Tulungagung, (2) untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh yang signifikan metode mind mapping terhadap motivasi siswa pada materi peluang siswa kelas VIII MTs Al Ma’arif Tulungagung, dan (3) untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh yang signifikan metode mind mapping terhadap hasil belajar dan motivasi siswa pada materi peluang siswa kelas VIII MTs Al Ma’arif Tulungagung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian eksperimen semu. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII MTs Al Ma’arif dengan sampel penelitiannya adalah kelas VIII A dan VIII B. Metode pengambilan data melalui tes, angket, dan dokumentasi. Metode tes digunakan untuk memperoleh data hasil belajar siswa. Metode angket digunakan untuk memperoleh data motivasi siswa. Pada penelitian ini analisis data menggunakan uji t dan manova. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) Ada pengaruh signifikan metode mind mapping terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi peluang kelas VIII. (2) Ada pengaruh signifikan metode mind mapping terhadap motivasi siswa pada materi peluang kelas VIII. (3) Ada pengaruh signifikan metode mind mapping terhadap hasil belajar dan motivasi siswa pada materi peluang kelas VIII. This research is motivated by the lack of student motivation when studying mathematics at school. Not a few students think mathematics is a boring and difficult material to understand. All of that has an impact on student learning outcomes that are not good or below the KKM. The monotonous teaching methods of teachers also have an impact on students' motivation and learning outcomes. Therefore, the researcher was moved to conduct a study to determine the effect of the mind mapping method on student learning outcomes and motivation on the opportunity material for class VIII. The aims of this study were: 1) to determine whether there was a significant effect of the mind mapping method on the learning outcomes of the VIII grade students of MTs Al Ma'arif Tulungagung, (2) to determine whether there was a significant effect of the mind mapping method on student motivation. on the opportunity material for class VIII MTs Al Ma'arif Tulungagung, and (3) to determine whether there is a significant effect of mind mapping method on learning outcomes and student motivation on the material opportunity for class VIII MTs Al Ma'arif Tulungagung students. This research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental type of research. The population in this study were all eighth grade students of MTs Al Ma'arif. The research sample is class VIII A and VIII B. The data collection method is through tests, questionnaires, and documentation. The test method is used to obtain data on student learning outcomes. Questionnaire method was used to obtain data on student motivation. In this study, the data analysis used the t test and manova test. The results of this study are (1) There is a significant effect of the mind mapping method on student learning outcomes in class VIII opportunity material. (2) There is a significant effect of the mind mapping method on student motivation in the class VIII opportunity material. (3) There is a significant effect of the mind mapping method on student learning outcomes and motivation on the opportunity material for class VIII.
