The Correlation Between Learning Motivation and Learning Outcomes of English Course at Ninth Grade Students of MTs Sunan Kalijogo. Thesis. English Education Department. Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training. Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah State Islamic University of Tulungagung. Advisor: Dr. Hj. Ida Isnawati, M.Pd. Keywords: correlation, learning motivation, learning outcomes. The most significant activities in the educational process in schools are learning activities. Basically, every student certainly has the same opportunity to achieve satisfactory learning outcomes in the learning activities. But in reality, every student differs from the next in terms of intellectual ability, physical abilities, habits, and learning approach, which can be quite noticeable. The elements that influence learning outcomes can be categorized into two major categories: internal and external. One of the internal factors that influence the success of the student learning process is learning motivation. This research aims to find out the correlation between learning motivation and learning outcomes of English course at ninth grade students of MTs Sunan Kalijogo. The research design was correlation research. The population was all 9th grade students of MTs Sunan Kalijaga, and the sample was made up of 9A and 9B students, which consisted of 57 students. To collect data in this research, two methods were used, namely the questionnaire method and the documentation method. The technique used to analyze the data was Pearson-Product Moment, and it was done with the help of the SPSS 25 program. Based on the data analysis, the researcher concluded that there was a positive correlation between learning motivation and learning outcomes of English course at ninth grade students of MTs Sunan Kalijogo. The result of correlation testing between learning motivation and learning outcomes was r = 0,452. It shows that the correlation between two variables is moderate. The SPSS calculation showed the researcher got N. Sig = 0.000, where significance < 0.05. In this research, the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. The results of the study show that there is a significant correlation between learning motivation and learning outcomes of English course at ninth grade students of MTs Sunan Kalijogo.
