Registered Number Student 12203183185, 2022. “The Effectiveness of Peer Feedback by Using Quip Application on Students’ Writing Descriptive Text Achievement of Tenth Grade Students’ at SMK Negeri 1 Kras Kediri”. Thesis . English Education Program. State Islamic University Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung. Advisor : Dr. Hj.Nanik Sri Rahayu, M.Pd. Keywords : effectiveness, writing drscriptive text, peer feedback, Quip Application Peer feedback is very beneficial to help the students improve the writing achievement. There are so many application to use conducting peer feedback. Peer feedback has been used with several media in the form of online application such as Google Docs, Facebook, Edmodo, Instagram etc. In this research used Quip Application. Quip is one of an application can helps the writing process in term of understanding the real object by moving on students sentences. The formulation of the research problem is : “Is there any significant difference score before and after being given by peer feedback using Quip Application? This research used pre-experimental design with quantitative approach with one group pre-test and post-test. . The population of this research was tenth grade students’ at SMKN 1 Kras Kediri on academic year 2021/2022. The sample of this research was Tenth cullinary art 01 which consisted of 33 students chosen by purposive sampling technique. To collect the data, the researcher used research instrument in form of test. To analyze the collected data, the researcher used T-Test done by SPSS 16.0 version softwere The finding of this research showed that there is a significant different between the result of pre-test and post-test. The mean of post-test 68,3636 and it was higher than the mean of pre-test was 58,9091. The different mean is 9,4545. It means that there was increasing score on the students’ achievement. From statistical calculation showed that the significant value is 0,000 which was smaller than the significant level (0,050). It means that the null hypotheses (H0) was rejected and the alternative hypotheses (H1) was accepted. In addition, using peer feedback by using Quip Application in writing descriptive text mostly gives significant influence in content. As the result, it could be concluded that peer feedback using Quip Application was effective to increase students’ writing achievement in decriptive text for tenth grade students at SMKN 1 Kras Kediri. Finally, it is suggested that peer feedback using Quip Application can be used as alternative strategy for English teacher in teaching and learning activity on writing.
