Keywords: Exemplary English Teacher, Teaching and Learning Practices. Students’ Speaking Success in English. This research is motivated by a phenomenon that occurs in the realization of teaching and learning in speaking English by carried out the exemplary English teacher in supporting the success of students speaking English. As we know that speaking is the most important skills should be mastered by the students. By having good speaking skills students will be able to communicate each other in teaching-learning practice and daily life. Therefore, to support the success of students in speaking English, it is necessary to have good cooperation between teachers and students. Then, it supported by several activities or strategies in teaching and learning activities in the classroom or outside the classroom. This makes researcher want to follow up on any activities or strategies implemented by the exemplary English teacher that leading to the students’ success in speaking English. The formulations of the research problems in the writing of this thesis are: (1) What are the exemplary English teaching practices leading to the English speaking success of students at Al Azhaar Islamic Junior High School Tulungagung?, (2) How to carry out the exemplary English teaching practices leading to the English speaking success of students at Al Azhaar Islamic Junior High School Tulungagung?, (3) What are the exemplary English learning practices leading to the English speaking success of students at Al Azhaar Islamic Junior High School Tulungagung? The purposes of this study were to: (1) To find out the exemplary English teaching practices leading to the English speaking success of students at Al Azhaar Islamic Junior High School Tulungagung; (2) To carry out the exemplary English teaching practices leading to the English speaking success of students at Al Azhaar Islamic Junior High School Tulungagung; (3) To find out the exemplary English learning practices leading to the English speaking success of students at Al Azhaar Islamic Junior High School Tulungagung. This thesis is useful for the author to add insight into the mindset, attitudes, and experiences as an effort to improve the quality of teaching and learning English, especially on students’ success in speaking ability.The research methods included: (1) the research design in this study was an case study with qualitative approach, (2) the informant in this research were the English teacher and the eighth-grade students of Al Azhaar Islamic Junior High School Tulungagung; (3) The technique of data collection was observation, interview, and documentation; (4) To analyze the data, the researcher conducted some steps include data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings of the research revealed that the exemplary English teaching practices leading to the English speaking success, are: providing students’ workbook as the material used in teaching speaking; utilizing audio-visual as the media used in teaching speaking; setting the activities are used in teaching speaking (students’ presentation; oral interview; reporting; games and song; drilling vocabularies; roleplay); and the last is evaluation. Besides, the researcher found that to carry out the teaching on students’ speaking success, the exemplary English teacher did some activities, as follows: setting classroom management; learners’ differences; and students’ motivation. After found some teaching practices in the classroom, the researcher also got the data about the exemplary English learning practices leading to the English speaking success, are: English day; responding and initiating; monthly activities; story-telling; and communicative games.
