Movie is a medium that educates people and makes it possible to increase their understanding of a particular subject through visuals. A movie is media that has an important influence in providing information and as a means of conveying messages to the public or society. Movies always provide educational values in each of their stories because they can have a positive influence on the audience. In addition, there are several reasons why the author studied educational values in the movie "Freedom Writers". First, this movie is based on the true story of Erin Gruwell and her students. Second, this movie teaches a lot about educational values, relationship between teacher and students, life experiences, and much more. The statement of the research problem is (1)What type of educational values are found in the "FREEDOM WRITERS" movie?. (2)How are these educational values reflected in the dialogue?. This study aims to found out the type of educational values reflected in the “FREEDOM WRITERS” movie, and how educational values are reflected in the dialogue on the basis of the research problems. The writer uses a descriptive qualitative method to describe and analyze the educational values that are taken from the scripted dialogue and then classifies them according to the types of educational values that are stated by Zaim ElMubarok. The data of this study were all the dialogues containing educational values found in the movie. The technique of data collection is documentation, watching the movie several times in order to understand the whole story, data analysis which is identifying the data containing the types of educational values performed by the characters, discovering the types of educational values shown by the characters in the movie, collecting the data, and then classified the educational values found in the dialogue. The result of the analysis revealed that there were 12 educational values found in the "Freedom Writers" movie. (1) honesty, (2) brave, (3) peace, (4) confidence and potential, (5) self-discipline, (6) purity, (7) loyalty and trustworthiness, (8) respect, (9) love and affection, (10) sensibility and not selfishness, (11) kind and friendly, (12) fair and humanist. The educational values are reflected in the dialogue by selecting the conversational fragment that contains the educational value act by the actors and actresses and gives the proof by showing the data then classified them with the type of educational value stated by Zaim ElMubarok. The most dominant educational value found in this movie is Brave.
