State Islamic University Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung, Advisor: Muh. Basuni, M.Pd. Key words: The Move of Conclusion, Thesis Conclusion, Thesis One part of the thesis that must be written is the conclusion, which includes an outline, deductions, implications, and recommendations. Therefore, Yang and Allison present the processes for writing conclusions to assist the students. Using Yang and Allison's theory, this study aims to find out what moves students take to compose their thesis conclusions. This study had research question: “What are the move of thesis conclusion written by English department students?” Therefore, the purpose of the study was to find out the move of thesis conclusion written by English department students. In this study, researcher used a quantitative approach with non-experimental design. The method of purposive sampling was used by the researcher, and 23 representative samples were obtained from the total population. A checklist was the instrument that was used in this research. The findings showed that summarizing the study's results is a crucial move that all students use. The remaining move are optional additions that may be added to the conclusion. It is proven by the fact that only eight students indicated contributions, four students indicated restrictions, and five student evaluated technique. In addition, just three students drew pedagogical conclusions from the data, and none suggested future research. Because suggesting more research is contained in the suggestion section.
