Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training (FTIK). Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah State Islamic University Tulungagung. Advisor: Dr. Muh. Basuni, S.S., M.Pd. Keywords: International Class, teaching English, Strategy Language has an important role in establishing relationships with other people. Everyone uses language to communicate with other people so that language develops and creates variations. English plays a role in facilitating communication between people in this world. One of them is to facilitate communication between the international community and Indonesia. In this modern era, several universities in Indonesia already have international students. These foreign students come from student exchanges, overseas scholarships, or independently. Most international students in Indonesia come from Thailand, the Philippines, East Asia, and others. The majority of international students studying in Indonesia have difficulty in using the language. Their mother tongue is different from Indonesian. The formulation of the research problems in this qualitative research are (1) What are the strategies used by lectures in learning English to International students in the Department of English Education at Postgraduate UIN SATU?, and (2) What are the factors that support and hinder lecturers in implementing teaching English to international students. English Education Department at Postgraduate UIN SATU? The objectives of this qualitative research are (1) To find out the strategies applied by lecturers in teaching English to International students in the Department of English Education at Postgraduate UIN SATU (2) To find out the factors that support and hinder the strategies applied by the lecturers. in applying the study of teaching English to International students in the Department of English Education at Postgraduate UIN SATU. The design used in this study is a qualitative descriptive research design. the subjects studied were international class students. The data collection technique used is triangulation such as interviews, observation, and documentation and data analysis using data reduction, data display and data verification. x The results showed that applying several strategies in learning English helps students to get success. There are three strategies applied by lecturers in teaching English, such as discussions, questions and answers and presentations. These three strategies encourage students to be more active, creative, think at a higher level, be communicative and willing to socialize with various students with different backgrounds and can improve relationships widely between countries. There are several aspects that support and hinder the strategies applied by lecturers in teaching English in international classes. Supporting factors are divided into two, namely internal factors and external factors. Internal factors are the breadth of the network and support from lecturers, and the barriers to attendance or participation difficulties, time zones, and having various cultural backgrounds and motivations.
